Adrian Scott is founder of His Ph.D. is in mathematics, where he applied nonlinear optimization to finding protein binding sites on DNA fragments. He previously was a founding investor in Napster, and pioneered social networking, founding Ryze in 2001, the big influence on Friendster, which in turn influenced Facebook. He has angel invested in startups sold to publicly-traded companies including Giganet (sold to Emulex), (sold to of that time), and advised startups including Starmine (sold to Thomson Reuters) and Plaxo (sold to Comcast).
